Sharing with Gold

The Housing Corporation launched the Gold Award to identify and share best practice in order to support improvement in the sector. Winners of the Gold Awards spend nine months disseminating their initiatives and as part of that process for 2007 we are running two national conferences;

Gold Award Environmental Sustainability Conference - Oct 11th, BRE Watford
Gold Award Empowering Communities - Oct 31st, Willow Park, Manchester
 
These knowledge sharing conferences are aimed at housing providers who seek to improve their performance or begin working in previously uncharted territory. Delegates will have the opportunity to find out more about what Gold winners have done to earn their Award and will be able to pick up new ideas, tips and strategies to help them with their own work programmes.
 
Conference delegates will also participate in themed workshops. These breakout groups will be interactive and encourage the sharing of success and experiences among delegates and Gold winners. A key focus of the day will be identifying common issues, developing shared solutions, overcoming barriers and developing strong peer networks. Delegates will be able to explore new approaches and ideas for adaptation in their own organisation, as well as forging longer term initiatives which can be supported by the winners.
