About us
The Housing Corporation is the national Government agency that funds new affordable housing and regulates housing associations in England.
We have about 450 staff based at nine offices throughout England (we do not work in Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales).
Our investment and regulation are carried out by our offices covering five areas of the country – Central, London, North, South East and South West – which we call "fields".
Details of how we invest and our priorities for granting funding can be found on our Investing pages. Our Regulating pages explain what standards we expect of housing associations and how we ensure they are met.
The Housing Corporation also has a dedicated Centre for Research and Market Intelligence (CRMI). CRMI produces quality research, analysis, innovation and good practice. It aims to make the Housing Corporation world renowned for being the centre of expertise for housing policy and information.
