Exploring the Options is the first stage of the tenant management grant process and is open to all housing association and local authority tenants and residents.  Exploring the Options is split into two parts.

It is anticipated that an Exploring the Options Project will generally take around six to nine months to complete both Part I and Part II.  We will allow groups a maximum period of 12 weeks from completion of Part I to applying for Part II. 

However, there may be groups that are in a position to go straight to Part II. Groups would need to demonstrate they have achieved the outcomes of Part I by having already taken the decision to choose either the Statutory Right to Manage, Voluntary Route to Management or Local Management Agreement.    Groups/Lead Advisors are advised to contact the Housing Corporation's Tenant Empowerment Team at tenantempowerment@housingcorp.gsx.gov.uk to discuss before submitting an application.
