Empowering Communities

The provision of housing should be much more than just building and maintaining houses and flats. People’s homes are only one ingredient in a complex network of factors that determine the quality of people’s lives, the aspirations they hold for their futures and for their children’s futures, their health and well being and their ability to achieve what they want and deserve form life.
Housing associations can, and do, play a pivotal role in building and supporting sustainable communities and in so doing enhance the quality and value of the lives of individuals and groups of people who share common backgrounds and interests. The Housing Corporation is committed to the creation of cohesive, safe and prosperous communities by working with housing associations.
