Sector study 3a: Longer distance movement into RSL housing

It investigates the extent to which households move across local authority boundaries in order to take up a tenancy with a registered social landlord (RSL). The number of 'longer-distance' moves into council housing is relatively low and it has been suggested that the lack of residential mobility may contribute to the apparent contradiction of labour shortages in the south of England and high unemployment in the north.
