Management Statement and Financial Memorandum for the Housing Corporation

This Management Statement and its associated Financial Memorandum were drawn up by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (the ODPM) in consultation with the Housing Corporation (the 'Corporation'), Maple House, 149 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 7BN. The document is based on a model prepared by the Treasury.

Subject to the legislation noted within it, the Management Statement sets out the broad framework within which the Corporation will operate, in particular:

  • the Corporation's overall aims and objectives in support of the DCLG's wider strategic aims and current Public Service Agreements (PSAs);
  • the rules and guidelines relevant to the exercise of the Corporation's functions, duties and powers;
  • the conditions under which any public funds are paid to the Corporation;
  • how the Corporation is to be held to account for its performance.
However, the Management Statement and Financial Memorandum do not convey any legal powers or responsibilities.

The associated Financial Memorandum sets out in greater detail certain aspects of the financial provisions which the Corporation shall observe.
