The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) recently consulted on its review of the Government's policy on rent restructuring for social housing, which was introduced in 2002. Following consideration of responses to the consultation, the ODPM has announced that any policy changes arising from the review will be deferred for a year. Until such changes are announced, the existing policy, as set out in the Housing Corporation's 'Rent influencing regime: Implementing the rent restructuring framework' and subsequent circulars, applies for registered social landlords.
