HOUSING CORPORATION ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS TO ASSOCIATION BOARD
The Housing Corporation has announced that it has made three statutory appointments to the Board of Foundation Housing Association, a registered social landlord which manages around 400 homes in Leicester.
The appointees are:
- Lakhbir Jaspal, Finance Director, Accord Housing Association;
- Simon Kimberley, Chief Executive, Optima Community Association;
- Tony Taylor, Chief Executive, Waterloo Housing Association.
The Corporation has placed Foundation under supervision because of significant concerns about its governance and management. The appointees will provide the Board with additional skills and expertise in addressing these concerns.

1. The Housing Corporation is the Government agency responsible for regulating and investing in over 2,000 housing associations in England. Its biggest ever investment programme of £3.3 billion for 2004-06 will fund over 67,000 affordable homes. 16,000 of these will go to key workers and 25% will use some form of modern methods of construction.
