The Making Things Happen Capacity Building Training and Small Grants Programme, residentially run at Trafford Hall, home of the National Tenants Resource Centre, is both empowering and life changing for tenants groups.

The training programme focuses on building tenants' capacity to take part in the management of their housing and homes. In doing so, it helps to deliver, in a small but important way, many Government policies and initiatives such as those connected with the ODPM's Communities Plan for building sustainable communities.

The programme is funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister as part of the national Tenant Empowerment Grant Programme, with additional funding streams coming from the Housing Corporation and the Welsh Assembly Government to enable their tenants to attend and apply for grants.
