The East of England Regional Housing Strategy 2003-06
The East of England Regional Housing Strategy 2003-06 has been launched. The launch marked an important milestone and is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the Regional Housing Forum and an extensive consultation period involving all regional stakeholders. The Strategy will enable the Regional Housing Board to begin to advise Ministers and other public funding agencies on the regional investment priorities and develop an implementation plan for focussing public funding for the development of affordable housing and local authority housing stock. The event also explored how the three regional bodies will work together to ensure the effective planning, co-ordination and delivery in the Region. The Rt. Hon Lord Rooker, Minister of State for Housing and Planning, gave a keynote address.
