A Charter for housing association applicants and residents

Information for applicants and residents
The Charter is important. You can use the Charter to find to what you can expect, and check that you are getting the service you should be getting from your housing association.
It also tells you what to do if you think your housing association is not honouring the Charter.
Who is the Charter for?
The Charter applies to you if you are applying for a home or are already a tenant leaseholder, shared owner, or licensee of a housing association that is registered with the Housing Corporation and your home has been provided with the aid of public funding.
It may also apply to you if you live in other types of housing and have a housing association as a landlord or your home is managed by a housing association.
You should read the Charter all the way through and if you are not clear whether some parts apply to you, ask your housing association to explain it to you.
