Tim Wainwright’s work illuminates how the Housing Corporation has been transforming lives through better housing for over 40 years. The exhibition showcased in this fi nal, special edition of Open magazine traces Tim’s interviews with 22 housing association residents from across the UK.

The timing of the exhibition marks a turning point in the history of the Housing Corporation, as we help to set up the Homes and Communities Agency and the Tenant Services Authority. Both new agencies are due to launch later this year, and they will be able to be even more ambitious in their efforts to transform the lives of ordinary people throughout the country.
