Source 42 - Registered Social Landlord Tenants 1999/2000

The survey was designed to provide detailed socio-demographic data on housing association tenants across England: this covers a tenant household profile, employment and social class, and tenant finances. The data was collected in a format comparable with the COntinious REcording (CORE) system, which monitors details of new lettings. A similar survey was conducted for the Corporation by MORI in 1995, and findings from that previous survey are shown in this report where appropriate, which allows some changes to be monitored. In addition, this survey also looks at a range of issues relating to tenant attitudes towards their housing and the housing service, including current and future housing; their landlord, home, repairs and maintenance; area; communication, consultationand participation. The 1995 survey included a longer questionnaire - asked to a sub-set of tenants - which also contained some additional questions; where appropriate these are also shown for comparison.

The report is available priced £20 from the Publications Unit, Maple House, 149 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 7BN
