Colne Housing Society: HCA

The Housing Corporation Assessment (HCA) of the housing association's performance against compliance with the Regulatory Code and in delivering the Approved Development Programme.
6 Aug 2003

The attached PDF document is the latest HCA report produced for the above association.

The Corporation has changed the way it makes public its assessment of associations and has replaced PAIS with this new form of individual evaluation. One of the most immediate and obvious changes is the introduction of a range of 'traffic lights' that relate to an association's governance, viability, management and development performance. It is our view that inclusion of 'traffic lights' within the HCA will be of considerable benefit to all stakeholders and will become a transparent expression of our own internal systems of appraisal and judgement.

We believe this new approach will be a major improvement on the old system and will be the culmination of our approach to regulation as outlined in the Regulatory Code. A new feature of this approach is that we will update our assessments as new and significant information becomes available.
