Since the Spending Review 2004 the Housing Corporation, through its partners, has delivered significant efficiencies in the supply of new affordable homes. A step-change in supply has been achieved with the number of homes for rent rising to 28,000 a year by 2007-08 from a base of just over 15,000 in 2003-04.
