Watch a house being built in five hours today
A house is being built in York's historic Railway Museum car park in just five hours today. The event is the highlight of the Corporation’s ‘The Gold Approach - Innovation in Procurement’ conference, aimed at professionals responsible for the planning and delivery of housing procurement and maintenance services.
The house will be timber panelled and have two-storeys. There will be a series of large exterior closed panels craned into position, then two floor joist cassettes will be fitted, followed by a gable end trussed roof, internal dividers and a straight stairway, which will then be added to complete the shell.
