The house was built in York's historic Railway Museum car park in just two and three quarter hours. The event was the highlight of the Corporation’s ‘The Gold Approach - Innovation in Procurement’ conference, aimed at professionals responsible for the planning and delivery of housing procurement and maintenance services.

It took just two hours to put the roof on the structure and just 45 minutes to install the door and staircase. The house is timber panelled and has two-storeys.
