Working Relations between Chairs and Chief Executives in Registered Social Landlords
The relationship between the chair and the chief executive is a key partnership in any organisation but little tention has been devoted to exploring or developing these relationships. This summary is drawn from a eport which examines the nature of the relationship in Registered Social Landlords.
The aims of the study were:
To scope the parameters of the working relationship between Chairs and Chief Executives in RSLs;
- to identify the processes by which respective roles are negotiated and defined;
- to examine the impact of critical incidents upon the relationship; and
- to identify lessons for the Housing Corporation and RSLs.
The report is divided into three sections: background and context, exploring the relationship, and developing the relationship.
