This Strategy has been produced jointly by the seven boroughs of South-West London. Its role is to set out the direction the South West London Partnership will be taking and the priorities which will govern this direction. It has four overall aims:

• to set out the evidence of housing need, the priorities for action, and the available resources and opportunities
• to provide a clear plan of action
• to put the case to the London Housing Board for investment in south-west London
• to promote cross-borough working at a strategic and operational level.
