Housing Corporation announces removal of AmicusHorizon Group from supervision

November 2008              ref:   84/08

The Housing Corporation has announced that it has removed AmicusHorizon Group, a registered social landlord which manages around 27,000 homes in London and South East England, from supervision.

The Corporation placed AmicusHorizon under supervision in April 2007 because of concerns about its governance and management.  The Corporation used its statutory power to make three appointments to the Group board.

Clare Miller, Director of Regulation said, "I am pleased that we have been able to work with AmicusHorizon to deliver a comprehensive action plan to resolve our concerns.  We are grateful to the appointees for their contribution, and the skill and commitment they demonstrated in working with AmicusHorizon to address the challenges it faced."
