Behind closed doors
Too often the crime of domestic violence is hidden away and social landlords are often the last to learn that both victims and perpetrators are amongst their tenant group and within their staff. This is not necessarily the fault of any one particular person – it is a whole organisation issue.
The Housing Corporation has introduced this guidance on domestic violence so that tenant and staff victims can come forward to disclose these matters to their housing management staff and others within their association, with a view to solving these, and eradicating future, problems.
