Peter Marsh has been appointed as Chief Executive of the new social housing regulator, the Tenant Services Authority (TSA), Housing Minister Caroline Flint announced today.
Peter Marsh will assume the post of Chief Executive Designate of the TSA from 1st July 2008, but will continue his current role as Deputy Chief Executive of the Housing Corporation until the formal establishment of the new regulator, which is planned for this December.
Peter Dixon, Chairman of the Housing Corporation said, " I am delighted with Peter's appointment. He will be able to build on the strong platform established by the Housing Corporation. With a new suite of powers and a renewed purpose he will take the Tenant Services Authority on the next stage of development, focussing on the highest level of service to tenants."
Peter Marsh said," I am honoured to have been offered the opportunity of leading the Tenant Services Authority in its mission to champion the needs of social tenants, and to challenge landlords to offer the very best services and promote choice in service delivery. The Tenant Services Authority will play a key role in defining a new standards framework that will place the provision of the highest quality services at its heart.
