The Housing Corporation has announced  the annual review of  the data collected through its CORE system as it moves towards the creation of the new social regulator OFTENANT and the Homes and Communities Agency.

CORE is a data collection system managed by the Housing Corporation and developed jointly with the National Housing Foundation (NHF) and Communities and Local Government (CLG) to record information on social housing lettings and sales submitted by registered social landlords (RSLs) and local authorities (LAs).

Key stakeholder are invited to take part in the review which is being conducted by Analysis & Statistics team in the Centre for Research and  Market Intelligence.  Stakeholders should note that the review is being restricted to the following changes:

  2. implementing any legal requirements for data collection;
  3. consultation on deletions to the logs.

The revised logs will be finalised by October 2008 and introduced for use by housing associations and local authorities from 1st April 2009.
