Forward Thinking - The role of housing associations in preventing homelessness in Norfolk
One of the key issues that the Homelessness Action Team encounters is the need to develop effective planning and service delivery between organisations and across administrative boundaries. The development of a joint homelessness strategy by the Norfolk RSL Alliance is both refreshing and exciting.
It's also a good read! It explains some of the effective work the associations are already doing, including some examples of specific services and schemes. However, there is valuable discussion about how, through working together, organisations can do more. Most importantly, there is a joint action plan that will deliver real change and significantly progress tackling homelessness in Norfolk.
This is the first document of its kind in England so we hope that others learn what can be achieved by working in partnership.
