NAHP 2008-11 Pre-Qualification complete
Following the completion of the Pre Qualification process for the 2008-11 National Affordable Housing Programme, 38 new players will join more than 70 existing partners who had previously passed the Corporation's pre-qualification tests from the 2006-08 bid round.
The names of all our Investment Partners can be found on pages 6 and 7 of our publication Delivering affordable housing: Meeting the challenges of growth and efficiency.
When making the announcement Housing Corporation Acting Chief Executive, Steve Douglas said:-
"A key aim of our 2008-11 PQQ process was to expand the market of partners bidding for grant so we are delighted to have so many new entrants to the programme.
Our two challenges for the 2008-11 programme will be to increase the number of homes we fund to meet the challenge of increasing supply and continuing to drive efficiency.
This further development of the mixed economy will help by increasing competition and increase our capacity to deliver."
All partners will now be invited to submit detailed bids. Bidding organisations will need to demonstrate that they can build high quality homes at excellent value. The full prospectus was launched in September 2007.
There will be a further Pre Qualification Process in 2008 to maximise opportunity for prospective partners to be part of the 2008-11 National Affordable Housing Programme which will commence on the 26th February and close at midday on the 24th April 2008.
Details of the most recent Pre Qualification process including all relevant documentation can be accessed via the link to the right, Delivering affordable housing: Meeting the challenges of growth and efficiency, and organisations should regularly check our website for further announcements.
