Energy performance certificates will be required for all social housing from October 2008.

To help ensure that they are rolled out smoothly, the Housing Corporation and Communities and Local Government are offering registered social landlords the chance to gain experience of receiving and using the certificates before they become mandatory.

We’re offering 50% funding for registered social landlords to produce energy performance certificates in summer 2007.

Applications must be received by the Housing Corporation by 9.00 am 2 July.

Please note that registered social landlords who did not submit an expression of interest by 18 June can nevertheless still apply for funding.
