Performance Indicators

The 2008 Performance Indicator results for associations are now available, together with a range of additional information and comparative 2007 results. Performance Indicators (PIs) provide a measure against which service users, local authorities, housing associations, auditors, inspectors and others can judge how well a landlord is performing.

In previous years, the PI information had been hosted on the PI website. However, the PI site closed at the end of December 2008 and current PI information will be hosted here until further notice. Comparative 2007 data is available in the data files available through the PI data page.

There are a number of excel workbooks available which contain a range of data and information, similar to that available previously through the PI website. Users are encouraged to read the Guide to the Performance Indicator Tables which explain what each table contains. Access to the data is available through the PI data page, which provides a brief summary to the information available and links to the workbooks. In addition to RSR and Core sourced PI information, the 2007 operating cost index results and associated documents hosted on the previous PI site is available through the Operating Cost Index.

In addition to the data, we have produced a summary of the National PI Headlines results, with information about the trends and comparison with previous years and significant sub sector performance issues.

For Local Authority based information, users are encouraged to utilise the interactive LA tables available on the RSR website. PI information collected at a local authority level includes Decent Home Standard compliance and level of voids.

For reference, details of the PIs and other information available on the data pages is provided in the 2007-09 PI Handbook; a summary list of the PIs for 2007-09 contained within the PI List and details of the Associations included in the PI dataset available in the attributes file, all available through the PI data page.
