Nine winners of the Gold Award for Excellence 2008 were announced at the award ceremony on 13th May 2008.

The winners were presented with their awards by Housing Minister Caroline Flint and each will receive £50,000 to fund a nine month knowledge sharing programme with the help of the Corporation's Gold Award Team.  

The three themes for 2008 were:

• Delivering Joined Up Development
• Tackling Worklessness

Building Cohesive Communities:

• Papworth Trust

Delivering Joined up Development:

• Great Places
• Newlon Housing Trust
• Nomad E5

Tackling Worklessness:

• Accent Group
• Derwent & Solway Housing Association
• Places for People Group
