The publication of this prospectus signals the bringing together of government low cost home owner initiatives under one banner, HomeBuy. It also signals the start of a competition to select suitable schemes and properties from house builders. Through the prospectus we invite providers to bring forward suitable schemes and properties to participate in the delivery of our new housing product HomeBuy Direct.

HomeBuy Direct builds upon the successful First-Time-Buyers’ initiative which is now concluding its investment phase.

HomeBuy Direct will be carried forward to the new Homes and Communities Agency, which will launch on 1 December 2008.
